Fatima and the Last Times
Remedies

Mr. Guido Del Rose was
the official escort for the U. S. National Pilgrim Virgin
Statue of Our Lady of Fatima, touring the United States
and promoting the message of Fatima. He gave many talks on
topics such as, “The Message of Fatima” and “The Five First
Saturdays Devotion,” and the “Last Times Apostasy.” He was
called to his eternal reward on November 22, 2004. Two of the
close collaboraters in his apostolate, Marcie Herek and Linda
Wason, wrote this resume of his many talks for Tradition in
Action.

For
over 45 years, Mr. Del Rose studied Church and world events.
He based his talks on Sacred Scripture, prophecies of approved
apparitions, the writings of Saints, and other reliable
sources. He believed that given the grave crisis that exists
in our Church and the serious world situation, it is crucial
for Catholics to understand the fullness of The Message of
Fatima, which sheds light on how we reached this point. Also
he wanted Catholics to be aware of the chastisement we should
expect if Our Lady’s requests at Fatima are not followed.
Mr. Del Rose always stressed that Our Lady and Our
Lord gave us The Two Last Times Remedies, as Sister
Lucia called them, based on the two requests of Our Lady in
the July 13, 1917 apparition, that will usher in the
conversion of Russia and the Era of Peace.
Since
Portugal’s early days at the beginning of the 11th
century, the country was closely connected to Our Lady and
under her protection. It was her land. In 1910, the
atheists were launching all-out attempts to take control of
Portugal. The country was experiencing a great falling away
from the Faith, and rapid decline economically and
politically. It was experiencing on a small scale what the
Church and world are going through now.
The Angel of
Peace appeared three times in 1915 to Lucia and three
companions while they were tending sheep, and three times
in 1916 to Lucia, age nine, and her cousins, Jacinta
and Francisco Marto ages six and eight. So, the beginning
of preparations for the great episodes in history known by
many as The Message of Fatima began in 1915.
Our Lady first appeared in Fatima on Sunday, May
13, 1917, which in Europe was celebrated as “The Feast of
Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament,” to warn people of the
consequences of their sins and prevent further punishment from
God, and to avoid what has been called by Sister Lucia "The
Last Times Apostasy." World War I was already taking place.
Our Lady not only wanted to give immediate help to Portugal,
but also to save Christendom from the full assault that was
being launched in the world by Satan and the Masonic forces.
In Sister Lucia’s words, “The Devil is ready to engage in a
decisive battle against the Virgin.”
It was only in
1920, after the initiation of the Pilgrim Virgin Statue in
Portugal and the idea of the Queenship of Mary was established
and spreading, that the lay people began practicing in earnest
the remedies given by Our Lord and Our Lady in 1917. As the
number of simple people practicing the requested devotions
increased, they earned the necessary grace, and the dire
situation turned around in Portugal.

By
1926 Portugal had experienced the conversion of the people
and many Church and state leaders; in that year, the atheistic
government fell without a single life lost or any blood shed.
The religious atmosphere of the Catholic Church began to
flourish and the country regained economic stability and
growth. In the span of six short years, the scene changed in
Portugal for the better. This was a prefigure, Mr. Del Rose
believed, of what could be experienced in the Church and world
today if the people would follow the "Last Times Remedies.”
One of the things that Our Lady told the seers on May
13th. was: “I have come to ask you to come for six months in
succession on the 13th day at this same hour. Later on I will
tell you who I am and what I want. Afterwards, I will
return here yet a seventh time.” This is a prophecy to be
fulfilled: Our Lady will return to Fatima for a seventh time.
The Church and the world had been suffering from a
number of “isms” - Protestantism, Darwinism, Modernism, etc. -
and the Church had been following a more “natural” course. The
Last Times Remedies, given by Our Lady at Fatima, would have
made the correction to turn the Church back to the
supernatural course, back to being God-centered, and avoid the
murky waters we are now swimming in, what Sister Lucia called
the "Last Times Apostasy.”
The Last Times Remedies
spoken of by Sister Lucia are two-fold:
1. The Rosary Devotion;
2. The Five First
Saturday Reparatory Devotion and Consecration of Russia.
The First
Remedy
The Rosary Devotion consists
of the praying the Rosary daily, as well as offering up your
daily sacrifices and duties in reparation or apology to God
for the sins committed. We must remember to first apologize
to God for sins, and then all things will be given
afterwards. So this first step, the Rosary devotion, repairs
for sins and helps to save souls from going to Hell.
In the August apparition, Our Lady stated, “Pray, pray
very much, and make sacrifices for sinners, for many souls go
to Hell because there is no one to pray and make sacrifices
for them.”
This is a Daily Consecration formula that
can be used:
"Dear Queen and Mother, who promised at
Fatima to convert Russia and bring peace to all mankind, in
reparation to Thy Immaculate Heart for my sins and the sins
of the whole world, I solemnly promise:
- "To offer up every day the sufferings and sacrifices
demanded by my daily duty; (through the Morning Offering
prayer);
- "To pray the rosary daily while meditating on the
Mysteries;
- "To wear the Brown Scapular of Mount Carmel as a
profession of this promise and as an act of consecration
of myself to Thee, and to renew this promise often,
especially in moments of temptation."
The
Second Remedy
The second remedy is The
Five First Saturday Reparatory Devotions, which was
requested by Our Lord to repair the damage of the five
offenses and blasphemies committed against the Immaculate
Heart of Mary.
On Ascension Thursday, May 29,
1930 Our Lord explained what these were. The blasphemies
are:
- Against her Immaculate Conception;
- Against her perpetual virginity;
- Against her divine maternity as well as the refusal to
accept her as Mother of all mankind;
- The attempt to publicly implant in children’s hearts
indifference toward, contempt and even hatred for this
Immaculate Mother;
- The offense of those who insult her directly by
profaning her sacred images.
What is required to fulfill the First
Saturday Reparatory devotion? Here are the words of Our Lady,
“I promise to help at the hour of death, with
graces needed for salvation, whoever, on the First Saturday
of five consecutive months, shall:
- "Confess;
- "Receive Holy Communion;
- "Recite five decades of the Rosary,
[With the added
prayer at the end of each decade: O my Jesus,
forgive us our sins, save us from the fires of Hell. Lead
all souls to Heaven, especially those in most need of Thy
mercy];
- "Keep me company for fifteen minutes while meditating
on the mysteries of the Rosary, with the intention of
making reparation to My Immaculate Heart” [This is
understood to mean an additional 15 minutes of meditating
on the Mysteries, other than the actual praying of the
five decades].

Again we
see the condition of making reparation, repairing for
the damage done by sin. We must remember that Our Lord, being
a good and loving Son, asks for this reparation for those
offenses committed against His Most Holy Mother.
This
request of Our Lord and Our Lady for the Five First Saturday
Devotion must be officially established and promulgated in the
Church. But since this, alas, has not been done, Mr. Del Rose
constantly worked to make it known and understood by the
people, so more would practice it in compliance with Our
Lady’s wishes.
During the famous Fr. Fuentes interview
of December 26, 1957, Sister Lucia stated that if these
remedies are rejected, it will be a sin against the Holy
Ghost.
The second part of the request during the
July 13, 1917 apparition is the Consecration of Russia to the
Immaculate Heart of Mary. The Holy Father in union with
all the Bishops of the world must perform this consecration on
the same day, and Russia must be named as the object of that
consecration.
To date, neither the official
promulgation of the Five First Saturdays Devotion nor the
consecration of Russia has been fulfilled as Our Lady
asked.This is the reason why Mr. Del Rose always stressed the
two specific requirements, establishing The Five First
Saturdays Devotion and the Consecration of Russia to her
Immaculate Heart.
Prophecies Yet to Be Fulfilled
Many prophecies were given at Fatima which
have already been fulfilled, one being the greatest public
miracle to occur since the Resurrection of Our Lord. This has
become known as “The Miracle of the Sun.” It was foretold
during the July, August, and September apparitions, and
took place on October 13, 1917. Our Lady performed this
miracle that was witnessed by over 70,000 people.

Our Lady said she would appear a seventh
time.

There are
still other prophecies, which have yet to come to pass if the
requests are not fulfilled:
1. The annihilation of
nations, meaning the actual disappearance of nations from the
face of the earth.
2. Our Lord voiced His
displeasure to Sister Lucia in 1931: “Make it known to My
ministers that since they follow the example of the King of
France in delaying the execution of My request, that they will
follow him into misfortune.” In 1793 Louis XVI was forced to
relinquish his royal throne to the enemy. He suffered a period
of imprisonment in the Tower of the Templars, and a violent
death by guillotine.
3. Our Lady has yet to appear in
Fatima a seventh time.
4. Russia will be
converted, which , according to Fr. Joaquin Alonso, the
officially appointed archivist for The Message of Fatima for
16 years, means this:
"The conversion of Russia is not to be
limited to the return of the Russian people to Orthodox
Christian religions, rejecting the Marxist Atheism of the
Soviets. But rather, it refers purely, plainly, and
simply to the total integral conversion of Russia to the one
true Church of Christ, the Catholic
Church."
Our Lady said that after this, there
will then be an "Era of Peace.” This will be the "Triumph of
the Immaculate Heart of Mary" that she promised.
We
highly encourage you to practice The Daily Consecration
and Five First Saturdays Devotion. Spread this message
wherever possible. Mr. Del Rose believed that we still await
the release of The Third Secret.
Mr. Del Rose gave talks on
Fatima and other Catholic topics for 27 years, including
seminars for the last nine years of his life. For 21 years
he was the assistant custodian and then official custodian
of the US National Pilgrim Virgin Statue of Our Lady of
Fatima. This work continued until his death in November
2004.

Act of Consecration and Reparation
to Mary's
Immaculate Heart
O Immaculate Heart
of Mary, Queen of heaven and earth and most tender Mother of
men, in accordance with Thy ardent wish made known at Fatima,
I consecrate to Thee myself, my family, my brethren, my
country, and the whole human race.
Reign over us and
teach us how to make the Heart of Jesus reign and triumph in
us an around us, as it has reigned and triumphed in
Thee.
We desire to atone for the many grievous sins and
offenses committed against Jesus and Thee. We desire to call
down upon our country and the whole world, the peace of God in
justice and charity.
We promise to imitate Thy virtues
by the practice of a Christian life without regard to human
respect. We resolve to receive Holy Communion on the First
Saturday of each month, and to offer Thee five decades of the
Rosary each day, together with our sacrifices, in the spirit
of reparation and penance. Amen.
